Its story
14 Piscium is a white A-type star 212 light-years away, in the long ribbon of Pisces that joins the two fishes of the ancient zodiac. Its hot atmosphere, near nine thousand degrees, gives it a clean, firm glow. The constellation crosses the celestial equator, and through it passes the modern spring equinox —the Vernal Point— carried here by the slow precession of the equinoxes since Babylonian times.
