Its story
62 Piscium is a G-type star 579 light-years away, a distant relation of the Sun set into the long loop of the Fishes. Its distance and brightness mark it not as a solar twin but as a giant in an advanced phase. Its light left around 1447, before Gutenberg's press had produced its first Bible. It glows in a stretch of autumn sky where the unaided eye barely picks it out.
