Its story
21 Piscis Austrini shines in the Southern Fish, that small southern constellation dominated by the solitary beacon Fomalhaut. It is a yellow G-type star some 323 light-years away, a spectral sister of the Sun but more luminous because of a more evolved stage. Its light set out around 1703, just entering the eighteenth century, while Europe was establishing its first modern scientific academies.
