Its story
In Piscis Austrinus, a discreet neighbour of the immense Aquarius, shines this orange K-type star, about 360 light-years distant. Its light began the journey around 1665, when the first scientific journal in history was being founded in London and Hooke was describing the microscopic world. Cooler than the Sun yet a touch larger, its coppery glow conjures slow sunsets. We see it as a warm flicker from the late Baroque.
