Its story
Tau Piscis Austrini is a relatively close yellow-white star, barely 60 light years away, in the constellation of the Southern Fish — home of the famous Fomalhaut. It shares its spectral type with many stars that host planetary systems, and its proximity makes it one of the modest but accessible neighbours of our galactic surroundings. Its light set out around 1965, at the very dawn of the space age.
