Iot
Hot blue starIts story
Iota Piscis Austrini is a blue main-sequence star with a surface above 10,000 K, distinctly hotter than the Sun. At 204 light-years inside the Southern Fish —the same constellation that holds Fomalhaut—, it is accompanied by a faint magnitude-11.4 companion roughly twenty arcseconds away, first logged by German astronomer Engelmann in the late 19th century and barely shifted in the long century since.
