Its story
Mu Piscis Austrini shines at 136 light-years in the constellation of the Southern Fish, the same modest sky that holds Fomalhaut. It is a white A2 main-sequence star with an effective temperature of 8,541 K, placing it among the cousins hotter than the Sun. It moves through the galaxy at about 20 km/s, on a wide orbit that will carry it between 23,800 and 28,500 light-years from the centre of the Milky Way.
