Cool red starIts story
29 Capricorni is a cool red M-type giant about 612 light-years away in Capricorn, the ancient sea-goat that watches the autumn meridian. Its red glow comes from a mild surface and its brightness, while just enough for the unaided eye under dark skies, remains unassuming among brighter neighbours. The photons we receive tonight departed as Gutenberg's press was beginning to remake Europe.
