Its story
41 Capricorni is an orange giant 230 light-years away, set into the strange goat-fish silhouette that traces Capricornus. The constellation is discreet, with no spectacularly bright stars, which makes it a fine stage for distinguishing colour: 41 Capricorni gives itself away by its warm flush. Its light set out in the late eighteenth century, when Herschel discovered Uranus and forcibly enlarged the known Solar System.
