Highly luminous starIts story
63 Cygni is an orange giant glowing more than a thousand and thirty light-years away, inside the Northern Cross that traces the Swan in mid-flight across the Milky Way. It belongs to the luminous-giant class: its surface has swollen and cooled while its brilliance is sustained by a core in full transformation. When this light set out, the word telescope did not yet exist in any language.
