Its story
3 Equulei shines orange around 769 light-years away, within the Little Horse, the second-smallest constellation in the sky. Its K spectrum reveals a surface cooler than the Sun s, the colour of dimmed copper. The light reaching a human eye tonight set out in the late Middle Ages, when manuscripts were still being illuminated in Benedictine monasteries.
