Its story
Delta Equulei is a yellow-white type F star settled just 60 light-years away, within the tiny Little Horse —the second-smallest constellation in the sky, almost a wink between Pegasus and Delphinus—. Despite its modesty, it is one of the most studied spectroscopic binaries, with an intimate companion whose orbit was first measured in the late nineteenth century. Discreet and close, it turns smallness into a virtue.
