Its story
It pulses in Cepheus, near the northern celestial pole, that region of sky which barely grazes the horizon. An orange K-type star, cooler and older than the Sun, glowing with the warm tones of a banked ember. Its light began its journey some 615 years ago, when Joan of Arc was leading the French troops at Orléans, in the thick of the Hundred Years' War. A warm point in the northernmost sky.
