Its story
In the quiet corner of Microscopium shines an orange sun, a calm K-type star whose warm light travelled 400 years to reach our eyes. When it set out, Galileo was tuning the first telescope aimed at the stars, and modern astronomy was beginning. Cooler and more seasoned than our Sun, its amber tone recalls the filament of an old lamp, a patient ember that seems to have burned from before the word science existed.
