Its story

In the small constellation of the Microscope —drawn by Lacaille in 1751 among the technical constellations of the southern sky— burns an orange giant 328 light-years away. The light we see now departed when Mozart was composing his final symphonies and Europe was sliding into the upheaval of the French Revolution. An ancient ember wrapped in a freshly named constellation.
