Hot blue starIts story
Capricorn is the oldest of the zodiacal signs, a goat-fish hybrid documented as far back as Babylon. There burns this B-class blue-white star, almost a thousand light-years away. Its light left the star around 1060, when the Normans were consolidating their conquest of southern Italy. Surface above ten thousand degrees, cold colour to the eye but an atmosphere so hot that its atoms barely keep their electrons.
