Hot blue starIts story
23 Cygni is a hot blue B-type star 633 light-years away, in the stretch of Cygnus where the Milky Way splits in two along the great dark rift. Hotter and more massive than the Sun, it burns hydrogen at a rate that will drastically shorten its life. The light arriving tonight left around 1390, as Europe was emerging from the Black Death.
