Its story
Unnamed in Aquila, this orange star has been travelling for 299 years. Its light set off when Voltaire was publishing his first works and the Enlightenment was taking flight. Cooler than the Sun and noticeably larger, it is a K-type that has spent its central hydrogen and begun to swell. Its coppery glow blends into the summer Milky Way, in a discreet yet beautiful corner.
