Its story
In Aquila, the eagle messenger of Zeus, shines a yellow G-type star, similar to the Sun in colour but more luminous and mature. Its light began its journey some 288 years ago, around 1738, when Voltaire was spreading Newton's ideas across the continent and Europe was redrawing its intellectual map. That golden glow now rises with the eagle, crossing the heart of the summer Milky Way.
