Tau
Its story
Tau Aquilae carries the traditional Chinese name Tianfu, «the celestial granary», a group of stars Han dynasty imperial astronomers saw as the sky's storehouse. She is an orange K0 giant 462 light-years away, with a radius twenty times the Sun's and roughly two hundred times more luminous. Her warm light hangs in the Eagle's wing, away from dazzling Altair yet aligned with its geometry.
