δ¹ Lyrae belongs to the Stephenson 1 open cluster, a young group of stars bound by common origin that lies near the parallelogram of the Lyre. A hot blue B-type star some 992 light-years away, she shares her sky with Vega, one of the brightest stars of the northern firmament and a vertex of the celebrated Summer Triangle.
