Its story
In Ophiuchus, the serpent-bearer, a white A-type star shines 157 light-years away. Its light began its journey when Europe was inaugurating the railway and the first locomotives were steaming between cities. Hotter and more luminous than the Sun, its hue is that of freshly polished ice, almost bluish. It belongs to that strip of sky where mythology and science meet: serpents in the imagination, hydrogen in reality.
