Its story
27 Draconis is a K-type orange star in the head of Draco, a polar region of the sky that scarcely sets for European observers. At about 211 light-years, it is among the closest in this batch, offering one of the youngest beams of light: what reaches us tonight departed in the last decades of the nineteenth century, just as astronomical photography —the very technique that now traces it precisely— was being invented.
