Its story
In the southern Altar shines a yellow G-class giant, far vaster than the Sun, whose golden light has travelled more than seven hundred and twenty years. When it left that surface, the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon were consolidating their power in the Iberian Peninsula and European guilds were raising Gothic cathedrals that still stand today. It belongs to those ageing yellow stars, distant cousins of the Sun yet far larger, shining like slow beacons of the southern sky.
