Its story
In the southern Ara glows a yellow G-type star about 348 light-years away. Its light departed around 1678, when Olaf Rømer was proving in Paris that light takes time to cross space, measuring its speed using Jupiter's moons. It shares its colour with the Sun, yet stands farther and brighter —like a solar echo in the south—.
