Its story
Delta Trianguli Australis is a yellow G-type giant, anchored in the Southern Triangle some 607 light-years away. It shares its spectral class with the Sun, yet has swollen far beyond, becoming one of the warm yellow embers that sign that small triangle of the southern sky, a constellation drawn by European navigators as they crossed the equator toward newly mapped seas. Its mild light, modest to the unaided eye, has travelled for more than six centuries before reaching the night from high in the southern hemisphere.
