Its story
In Corona Borealis, the small northern diadem, glows an orange giant whose light set out around 1350, when the Black Death was ravaging Europe and Petrarch was writing his sonnets. Cooler than the Sun and hundreds of times more luminous, it shows the coppery hue of stars that have already walked a long way. Its ancient glow settles on a crown that traces a delicate arc across the sky.
