Its story

105 Piscium holds one of the highest Flamsteed numbers for the Fishes, a constellation that stretches along a great arc of the zodiac. It is an orange K-type giant whose warm light crosses 392 years before reaching the eyepiece —it set out when the first telescopes were only beginning to reshape astronomy. Its gilded glow at magnitude 6 sits right at the edge of what the eye can perceive under dark skies.
