Its story
A pure white A-type star shines high in the southern constellation of Triangulum Australe, hotter and more luminous than the Sun. Its glow set out roughly three and a half centuries ago, when the great observatories of Paris and Greenwich were being founded and astronomy was becoming a state-funded science. Across 365 light-years it has carried the cool, almost crystalline tone of a star at its prime, untouched by all the human history its light has quietly outrun.
