Coiled around Draco sleeps a white A-type star, about 286 light-years away. Its light set out around 1740, when Bach was finishing his last suites in Leipzig and the Rococo was sketching sugar palaces across Europe. It is hotter and denser than the Sun, a sharpened gleam among the dark scales of the Dragon.
