Psi Serpentis is one of the nearest suns in the Serpent: a yellow G-type star just 48 light-years away, a true spectral twin of the Sun. If a world like Earth circled it, its night sky would show our Sun as an anonymous star among the many threading the Milky Way. Its proximity and its spectral kinship with our own star make it a favoured target for the great catalogues that hunt for planets around solar analogues and search for the faint chemical signatures of habitability.
