What is HIP 76939

In the austral constellation of the Wolf shines a yellow G-class star, kin in type to the Sun yet more distant and mature. Its light set out some 260 years ago, while the enlightened courts of Europe debated the ideas of Voltaire and Rousseau. To see it is to glimpse a possible destiny for our own Sun: a calm, golden body sliding through the maturity of its life.
