Cool red starIts story
A red giant in the constellation Lupus, cool as a dying ember and yet vaster than many white or blue stars. Its light set out around 1481, in the very months when the Castilian Inquisition was being formally established. Its M-class puts it at the Sun's opposite extreme: less energy per surface unit, but a volume so wide that its crimson red crosses half a millennium of darkness.
