Its story
24 Boötis is a yellow G-type star in the Herdsman, about 326 light-years away, not far from the main axis that points down to Arcturus. It shares its spectral family with the Sun but has moved further along its cycle, swelling and burning more strongly. Its glow blends into the cohort of middle-aged suns that fill the northern reaches of Boötes, well clear of Arcturus' ruddy beacon.
