Its story
In the serene heights of Boötes shines a yellow-white F-class star, slightly hotter and more luminous than the Sun. Its light set out some 195 years ago, when the first steam locomotives were beginning to lay rails across the English countryside. F stars are balanced bodies, sharp messengers whose spectra show the earliest clear lines of ionised calcium.
