What is 95 Virginis
95 Virginis is a yellow-white F-type star pulsing at 189 light-years inside the vast celestial virgin. Slightly hotter than the Sun, its sharp spectrum places it among the transition stars, thermal neighbors of our own star but with a somewhat faster and brighter life. The region hosts the Virgo Cluster, an ocean of galaxies stretching far beyond our Milky Way.

95 Virginis lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is April: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight. How high it climbs above the horizon depends on the latitude you watch from.
