Its story
63 Virginis is an orange K-type star recorded in the Hipparcos and Bright Star catalogues, with an apparent magnitude of 5.36 that leaves it at the very edge of naked-eye perception. It shines within the celestial Virgin at 306 light-years, far from the major landmarks of the Virgo Cluster. Its yellowish light has been travelling since the years when Versailles was being built for Louis XIV.
