Its story

In Virgo flickers an orange star, old and unhurried. Its light crossed some 325 years before reaching us: it set out around 1701, when Philip V's reign began in Spain and the War of the Spanish Succession was kindling. Cooler than the Sun, it shines with that coppery stillness so typical of stars that have already lived a long while.
