Hot blue starIts story
A B-type blue flame deep in Centaurus, around 260 light years away, with the fierce signature of the hottest stars. Its light began its journey around 1766, in the heart of the Enlightenment, while Catherine the Great ruled Russia and the French encyclopédistes were redrawing the map of thought. Its surface comfortably exceeds ten thousand degrees, radiating an almost vibrating electric white. It crosses the southern sky like a steady, vehement flash.
