Its story

In Centaurus —the mythic rider of the southern sky— shines a B-type star, blue-white and fiercely hot, far surpassing the Sun in temperature. Its light set out almost seven centuries ago, when in the late Middle Ages the workshops of Florence were preparing the burst of the Renaissance and the plague swept across Europe.
