Its story
10 Canum Venaticorum is a yellow G-type star lying just over fifty-seven light-years away, a cosmic neighbour of the Sun with a radius and mass quite similar to its own, though slightly smaller. It is somewhat older —around six billion years— and its iron content is a touch lower, suggesting an origin in a different galactic region. It dwells in Canes Venatici, the modest constellation traced by Hevelius beneath the handle of the Plough.
