Its story
In the modest hounds of Canes Venatici, this white A-type star shines about 215 light-years away. Its light began the journey around 1810, when Spain was living through the first Cortes of Cádiz and France was crowning Napoleon emperor of Europe. Hotter and brighter than the Sun, its white tone reveals a young, vibrant surface. We see it today as a luminous whisper from the Napoleonic era.
