Its story
Coma Berenices is the lock of hair Queen Berenice cut off, according to Greek legend, and this orange ember burns quietly among its strands. The light reaching the eyepiece tonight set out around 1709, the winter when all Europe froze under the Great Frost. K-type, cool atmosphere, the colour of old embers: a star that lets itself be watched slowly, without pretension, three hundred and sixteen light-years away.
