Its story

Phi Piscium is an orange star at 446 light-years, anchored in the most aquatic constellation of the zodiac. Its K-type spectrum betrays an atmosphere cooler than the Sun's, displaying the kind of delicate spectral lines that nineteenth-century astronomers patiently learned to read as chemical fingerprints. A warm, old light slipping silently between the two tethered fishes that mark the closing chapter of the zodiacal year.
