82 Piscium is a yellow-white F-type star in the constellation of the Fishes, that long zodiacal ribbon binding two figures linked by a cord. Slightly hotter than the Sun, it shines from almost five hundred light-years away. Its light set out on its journey when Philip II reigned over two continents and the printing press was spreading across Europe.
