Variable starIts story
Once more in Ursa Major shines, this time, a white variable star of changing light. Its glow began its journey 1,240 years ago, when Charlemagne was founding the Palatine School of Aachen and Baghdad was becoming the intellectual capital of the Islamic world. Hotter than the Sun, its intensity shifts with a slow rhythm, as if the star were breathing: a sign that something inside it is still searching itself.
