Its story
Within Ursa Major shines a white-yellow F-type star, slightly hotter and more energetic than the Sun. Its light has been travelling through the void for nearly three centuries: it set out when Linnaeus was publishing his «Systema Naturae» and, for the first time, all living things were beginning to receive a name that related them to one another. After 287 light-years, its pale glow arrives tonight as a nod to the very idea that the sky too demanded an order and a language of its own.
