Its story
7 Leonis Minoris is a yellow giant in the Lesser Lion, a star that has likely begun fusing helium in its core after exhausting its hydrogen —it has entered the horizontal branch of stellar ageing—. Swollen past thirteen solar radii, it glows warmly some five hundred light-years away. Its light set out when the first European royal observatories were being founded, in the second half of the seventeenth century.
