What is Nahn

Nahn dwells in Cancer, not far from the celestial manger where the two donkeys graze. The name comes from a local Arab tradition and was officially assigned to this star in recent times. An orange K-class giant 373 light years away, it is a calm and steady flame in one of the faintest constellations of the zodiac.

Nahn lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is February: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
