What is Nahn
Nahn dwells in Cancer, not far from the celestial manger where the two donkeys graze. The name comes from a local Arab tradition and was officially assigned to this star in recent times. An orange K-class giant 373 light years away, it is a calm and steady flame in one of the faintest constellations of the zodiac.
Where it is and when to see it
Nahn lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is February: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight. How high it climbs above the horizon depends on the latitude you watch from.
