What is 60 Cancri
60 Cancri is an orange K-type star about 696 light-years away in the Crab, a zodiac constellation so faint its stars are more easily found by the presence of the Beehive cluster. Its cool tone and remoteness make it a quiet pinpoint, near the threshold of unaided sight. The light arriving now left the star while Dante was finishing the Divine Comedy.

60 Cancri lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is February: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
